The Jigawa State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Alhaji Dawud Jidda, commended corps members in Hadejia Local Government Area (LGA) for their good conduct and decision to shun the recent protest. He made this statement during his visit to the local government secretariat earlier today.
The state coordinator and his team were received by zonal inspectors, the local government inspector, and corps members at the NYSC secretariat. Dawud stated that this visit was a routine check on corps members and their performance. He also emphasized the need to ensure that corps members were not caught in the crossfire amidst the protest and were not involved in any form of lawbreaking, particularly in Hadejia, which was one of the areas affected by vandalism.
The coordinator noted that the NYSC has always been supportive of its members. He commended the Hadejia corps members for their hard work, dedication, and discipline in discharging their duties. He added that he had not received any complaints or reports of ill conduct, which he considered a good impression.
Finally, he urged corps members to remain patriotic, disciplined, and people of integrity, serving as worthy ambassadors of the NYSC not just during their service year but beyond.
