ISIS has claimed responsibility for last week’s attack at the home of Nigerien parliament speaker, Seini Oumarou.
An attack which attempts to assassinate the politician was carried out in a June 12 shooting at his home in Niamey, Niger’s capital.
ISIS says it has killed a security guard guarding his home and injured another.
The organization made the claim in a message posted on its Telegram website.
Nigerien media say two attackers on a motorcycle carried out the attack.
ISIS says the attack was carried out by its African branch, ISWAP.
